PROVIDENCE — Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope has been approved as a new Catholic high school in the Diocese of Providence.

On November 21, the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin signed a canonical decree approving the creation of Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Hope as the first Catholic high school to open in the Diocese of Providence in sixty 56 years. The school is currently accepting applications for students to begin next fall. It is centrally located just 5 minutes off of Route 95 in Warwick.

Chesterton Network Announces Partnership w/Franciscan University

“Franciscan University of Steubenville and the Chesterton Schools Network have formed a partnership that provides Chesterton high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn significant credit towards their college educations. Students earn credit by taking the Chesterton Academy theology and philosophy courses that are aligned with Franciscan University’s curriculum and successfully completing college-level examinations.
