Chesterton Arts Week

Explore The Arts

The fine arts are fundamental to our classical approach to education. They cultivate a love for the beautiful, encourage students to take risks, and help them encounter their own humanity by stepping into the tradition that includes great artists like Shakespeare, Caravaggio, and Palestrina. Take advantage of the opportunity to experience Chesterton through the arts this summer!

During the morning session, students will sketch and study masterworks from the ancient Greeks to the Renaissance and the Impressionists, and then practice making masterpieces of their own. In the afternoon, students will study and stage scenes from an enduring work, such as Shakespeare's "Comedy of Errors" or the American masterpiece "Our Town."
